A Drive To Green Valley

Going to be a short post. I had and eye apt. in Green Valley today and my driver wrote down the wrong date. I didn't have time to find someone else so off I went.

Of courses it was another nasty windy day.

After the apt. and walking outside I was blinded by the sun. I put there dark sun things behind my sun glasses. I couldn't see much. I sat in the truck for awhile to let my eyes adjust and left. I got on the hwy and didn't like the way I was seeing so I got off and went to a shopping plaza and had a salad for lunch.  I gave it another try and it was better so off I went. I made it home let Fred out and just sat with my eyes closed for awhile.

The cataract is not bad enough to remove yet so that was good. The right eye which was done about 2yrs ago seems to be growing another one but has not changed since last year. The bigger problem is dry eye and I have to use drops 4 times a day and a gel drop before bed. I have a follow up end of next month.

Good Night All

  1. Glad you were able to navigate home safely without ending up in California because you couldn't see.

  2. I don't like it when they dilate my eyes because it's always more difficult to drive home. Glad you made it safely - you were smart to just get off the road and get something to eat while ir wore off.

  3. Eye is very important for all. So please go to doctor visit regularly. During winter it may cause too bad. So careful with your health!

  4. Good morning John,

I have a follow up end of next month I'll make sure I have someone to go with for sure. But I told my friend when she called last night that's where I thought I might be.

    Hi Gypsy,

I hate it too my eyes are light sensitive as it is. I thought of camping out at Madera for the night but poor Fred would be left alone. My friend would have come by to take him out but I wouldn't want him left behind.

    Hi Weekend.

Yes our eyes are very important. I see an Eye Specialist every year.

  5. Hi Jo,

I had to have cataract surgery on both eyes a few years ago and now have fake lenses in my eyes. I can see like an eagle which may not always be a good thing... :)

I wear the darkest sunglasses I can find anytime I am outside and have owl rings around both eyes but at least I am not blinded by the blazing sunlight.

PS Got the termites sprayed and are hopefully on their way to a permanent demise.

  6. Jo, we were doing the same thing. I had an eye appointment, had my eyes dialated, had to wear those horrid plastic shades... and have a cataract that's not bad enough to be operated on. This is my first one. :(

  7. HI JMD,

I had those silly things stuck behind my eyes but they distorted my vision even worse. Biggest problem right now is the dry eyes. If the over the counter drops don't work I will have to have the prescribed ones.

Hope your rid of those nasty things.

    Hi Sharon,

We must keep our eyes healthy for sure. I had one taken out a couple years ago and the other eye isn't ready yet either. The surgery is a breeze and hardly no discomfort at all and only wore a patch that day and night. Next day it was like I never had anything done. One of the better surgeries I have had for sure.
