Just as we were finishing up the wind started up again. But it worked out for the best since it helped in the drying of the wood. So maybe we can get it painted. One job closer to being done until fall. I noticed a place between the new boards that needs more caulk and I will get that done tomorrow. Don't need water sitting in there and ruining the new wood.
Good Night All
There is always plenty to do after the winds isn't there? We got home and found we have termites munching on our tree in the back yard so are going after spray to get after the varmits. Always something.
ReplyDeleteWe used to deliberately leave a 1/8" to 1/4" gap between the floor boards on our decks so the rain and melting snow would go through. That would stop the boards from rotting and make them last almost forever.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Hi JMD,
ReplyDeleteTermites are nasty I had them and I think it might be time for an inspection again.
Yep it's always something.
Hello Rick and Kathy,
This is new wood on the side of my house that had gotten wood rot and was told that's how it started. I don't know if the birds pulled it or it just dried and shrunk but I need to fill it in again for sure.
