Nice Luncheon

I was happy to stay put today or so I thought.

I had my friend Terry come for lunch today. Terry brought some really good salads and fixing's to go along with them. I made a quiche and we enjoyed the nice quiet healthy meal. Then topped it off with a great cup of Kona Coffee.

After Terry left I cleaned up and ran the dishwasher. Just as I started to sit the phone rang  It was one of my grandsons that was not going to make an apt. because the bus was running late. I met him at the Bus Center and dropped him off at his next apt. and I headed home since it was going to drag me into rush hour traffic. I had enough of that yesterday. He was able to catch a bus home when he finished.

Tomorrow my friend Tom will stop by to download Word Pro since I accidentally  deleted it. Sometimes I wonder about myself.
I need that program so I can make some changes to my Neighborhood watch lists before I have my meeting sometime this month.

Another one of my grandkids has reached 18 today. They sure are making me old.

Good Night All

  1. Yes, birthdays do have a way of reminding one of their age too. Time marches on and waits for no one. Good reminder to live every day fully.

  2. Don't worry about birthdays, the more you enjoy...the longer you live.

  3. Quiche sounds really good. I haven't had one in a very long time, but if I make one then I'll eat the whole thing!

  5. Hi Karen,

I tell you with all these grand kids life has been interesting for sure.. To see them all growing up into adults is amazing you have more time to watch.

    Good Morning John,

    You got that right!

    Hi Gypsy, Judy,

This is a crustless quiche and I found the recipe at weight watchers so it isn't as fattening. And so easy to make too.

    Hi JMD,

Believe me I am not that energetic just figured it would be better for us to eat well and in peace and quiet for a change. Much easier for solving world problems. :)

  7. I realized I wasn't a spring chicken when my children started sprouting a gray hair here and there. Grown grandchildren really get your attention! Glad they love you and are close to you! :)

  8. Hi Sondra,

I hadn't made one in a long time because of the heat. And yes the come faster all the time.

    Hi Sharon,

My second daughter always said she wouldn't color her hair to hide the gray well she does haha. I think I worry more about my grand kids than I worried about my own, I think it's because the world has changed so much and not for the better.
