Kids

Dug around in the shed this morning looking at Christmas stuff. I had to climb up on the ladder to get the tree ornaments down and boy was that box heavy. I took some of the snowmen out to the front yard but it was in the 80's today so really didn't feel much like decorating time.  I put up a small village on the hutch like every year. 

But it was way to nice out to be in the house so Fred and I went out to the porch. I cleaned it up some and turned on the fountain. It was so nice and quiet and watched the humming birds coming to the feeders.

My granddaughter Amanda called an asked if I was going to be home. She was picking up Aliya and had her boys with her too. It has been awhile and I was happy to see them. Fred had a grand time with the kids. They just ran and ran and Fred was right there with them. He loves kids. The boys had a blast playing with him too. When they left I took home out and then he came in and flopped on the floor totally exhausted. 

What a great day and a fun visit.

    It was a perfect day to enjoy! I got rid of almost all of our Christmas stuff, going with minimal and I am ok with it. It was painful but it went to the animal shelter thrift shop so I am all good with that. Besides the man is not interested in any decorations. I have three up and that just may three too many. Whatever. Take care the week is going to get colder and wetter.

    It's always nice to have kids around, and then to flop exhausted on the floor or in the chair when they leave!

    I did what little decorating we will do yesterday I have 2 outdoor lighted trees one is 24" tall I put it in the big copper flower pot...and the other is a 7 ft artificial tree with clear lights..I may hang a bow on the door...and if I can find the box of garland put some garland around the porch posts.

    No small kids in my life, I guess my doggies are my kids!

    Hi JMD,

    It was to warm for my liking yesterday but the cold is on it's way.
    I was going to sell all the village pieces but just couldn't bring myself to do it. I would be lucky to get 1/4 of what it all cost and now that there are great grands coming up.. well. As long as the grands put it up and take it down I'll still do it. It won't be going up until after my camping trip.

    They sure have lots of energy, just watching them tired me out but what fun.

    Sometimes a little can be really pretty. I hadn't planned on doing much but things change when those little ones show up.
