Rained Buckets

I got up at 5:30 jumped in the shower, got Fred out and sat to enjoy my coffee. 6:30 it started raining like crazy. I got up that early for nothing. I did move the truck out and put the trash to the curb  between down pours. The painter showed up to let me know he wouldn't be doing any work today. I kind of figured that out. And did it get cold.
Also the shed leaked again so he will take it apart again to see maybe if the gutter has been twisted to lean into the shed instead of away.

Lucy sent me a text asking if I wanted to go do something today as she was heading into town. Why not. Lucy also brought me a electric knife so I can cut the foam mattress for the camper. I'll get that done maybe tomorrow.

Calling for some cold weather in the morning but supposed to warm up to the low 70's in the afternoon.

It's Rodeo week here and you sure can tell. Everyone is wearing boots, cowboy an cowgirl hats and western shirts and other western attire. Thur. is parade day but it may rain again. Not like I would go been there done that years ago.

Good Night All

  1. It's so hard to find leaks sometimes. I hope they can fix yours for good this time.

Rain is necessary, but it sure can spoil plans. Looks like you handled it well. :)

I've never been to a rodeo. Sheltered life, I guess!

  3. Hi Sharon,

I remember going to the Rodeo in NY when I was very young always wanted to be a cowgirl. Then when we moved out here we went a few times and it also was rainy season. After a while it's just the same ole same ole. And I never did become a cowgirl go figure.

    Hi Gypsy,

No boots but do have a hat it just hangs on the wall and gets vacuumed now and then haha

  4. I'm not a fan of the Rodeo's treat animals,,,,OR racing for that matter, we have horse racing here twice a year I never go and haven't been in years. Hope that weather gets better its gloomy and nasty here and we expect more wintry mix tomorrow...hope this is the last of it!

  5. Hi Sondra,

Yes it is tough on the animals . when I lived back east went to the trotters once in NY and a horse died on the track. Was never interested in any of that racing anymore. we have dog tracks here I don't go to that either. When I heard about those poor dogs and the life they live after they aren't able to race made my blood run ice cold. These kinds of people only care about the money and could care less about the dogs or horses for that matter.
