The Blankets

I finished all my vacuuming today so I could earn the right to sit outside and not feel guilty.

I figured I better enjoy it while it's cool enough to sit out there.

Yes I worked on the blanket too. There isn't much more to write about but I did take pictures of them..

As you can see the stitches look much different as I used a smaller hook on the pink blanket

The pink blanket is folded in half so you can see it is much larger than the blue even though the blue isn't finished it will be much smaller as I used less chain stitches to start. I think I will  make another pink one and make sure I use the same amount of chains and the same size hook. I have heard this design called waffle or box and I'm sure there is another name or 2 out there. Anyone ?
Good Night All

  1. Love the colors. When I make a baby blanket that isn't quite as large as I wanted I just put a few rows of single crochet around the edge and call it finished. Not sure what that stitch is but I like it.

  3. Have you figured out a way to work on the blankets without them laying on your lap? I'm sure they get hot, hot, hot! Looking good!

  4. Hi Jacque,

I have given that a thought and I'm sure it will give it a much nicer finished look. Glad you like them.

    Hi Karen,

I have been thinking about an adjustable table but so far it hasn't been a problem.
