The Return Of Monsoon?

Right after I posted last night the thunder was back. Real loud this time. And about 9 pm I heard this loud noise, I couldn't figure out what it could be. It was like the house was being pelted by big rocks. It was hail and sure glad it didn't last to long because I'm sure damage would have incurred. It then started raining in sheets again. It continued all through the night and into this morning. I love the sound of a light rain on the awning but this was loud and the thunder just rolled on all night too. We didn't get this much rain through the monsoon season.

I got up around 5:15 figured no point laying there anymore. I turned on the coffee and let Fred out. He sure made it quick too. When he came in he ran right to the computer room and sat in front of the electric heater waiting for me to turn it on. I turned it on and he was very happy. It's amazing how he remembered that from last winter. The morning temp was 52, high today was only 67 I'm loving it.

Rose and I figured it was best to cancel our plans for today, to avoid flooded streets and washes. It continued to rain on an off all day.

I washed all Fred's bedding and did a few things around the house.

And then started on the baby blanket for another great grand baby on the way. It's like when my kids started having babies and they were all having them at the same time. This family has tripled in size. Sure hope they all stop now.

Good Night All

  1. I hear you about the thunder, mega loud here also, plenty of rain. I figure AZ can use it as long as it doesn't get crazy and so major flooding.

Fred, is such a smart dog!

I am sure you can whip out baby blankets in record breaking time by now. :-)

  2. I can't wait for Central & Northern CA to get some rain, although I hope I don't have to eat my words if it gets too bad.

  3. Just make sure you get all that rain, thunder, and hail over with before we get back down there. I want good weather. Our girls love to sit in front of the heat vents. They really don't like the cold and wet either.

  4. Hi JMD,

I hope today is a drier day I want out of here today so far the sky is pretty clear but around here that could change in seconds.
'I just can't seem to get this blanket going and already ripped it out twice, should have gone to the class yesterday.

    Hy Gypsy,

Wish some rain would come your way but not in torrents like here, your soil is way to dry to absorb so much water at once.

    Hi Jim n Sandie,

We are way over the needed water table now. I hope it slows down now and you have a wonderful welcome home in AP
