Amazing as it is with the high winds they managed to get a 94% containment on the fire and kept it from growing past 75,000 acres. No homes or buildings were damaged and folks are now able to return to their homes.
The winds are calmer now and the temps have been great. But of course that will soon end and we may reach 100 by the end of the week.
I figured if I can't find a Aliner or a T@B by the final leaving time I will not be going to the mountains again this year summer.
So I had to come up with a plan B, I will have my bathroom remodeled, It has one of those dumb round tubs and all it does is collect dust and has yellowed something terrible. I really hate that thing. So I will have it removed and of course that means replacing the floor. Then start painting the bathroom and my bedroom. It should take me all summer hahaha. I'll have one of the kids put the sliders under the furniture or wait until someone shows to move the pieces on the wall I am ready to paint. Need new light fixtures too and then think about putting in a linen closet. Where that tub is now. I have been wanting to do this for a very long time. I know it needs doing that bathroom and bedroom hasn't been painted in many years and I'm sick of looking at it. The front bedroom better known as Fred's man cave also needs to be painted. Just have to see how the old body reacts to all this.

Don't overtax yourself and take lots of breaks. When I lived in NC my master bath had one of those huge round tubs. I didn't have a large enough water heater to fill the thing to where it was pleasant to loll in - I think I only used it once. I prefer my shower over a tub any day.

ReplyDeleteIf you don't get out this summer the best time to by an RV is the Fall because not too many are selling at that time and you can negotiate a better price for yourself.

ReplyDeleteYour right can't get enough hot water to enjoy that tub. Like you I enjoy a nice shower anyway. I'll have about 5 months to paint those rooms so no rush plenty of breaks.

I'll keep looking but so far nothing. Lots of pop up tent trailer and I don't want one of those. I did see some really nice conversion vans but they are in Phx. so that doesn't help me since I have no one to drive me there. I would rather buy local so I can have it checked out by my mechanic.
