Do I Hear Thunder?

It has cooled down a bit, temps down to 105 these past few days. And it should drop into the 90's for the next few days then up and down for a week or so. Tonight the weather said no rain for us on this side of the town. But I hear thunder and it rained for a second. I unplugged the laptop so I need to make this quick. The sound of the thunder seems to have already moved away.

Haven't been doing much as it is just to hot to step out the door for more than 15 min. so I can clean up after Fred.

Did a run for veggies the other day and then yesterday for bread and tortilla's and money to pay Mark for the work he did do on the dishwasher. No I didn't fix it but he did get out the water that remained on the bottom and checked to see if the hose was clogged. I'm not worried about fixing it right now. Washing the dishes won't kill me.

I did do some cooking of veggies and of course all the laundry that builds up pretty fast with this heat.

Good Night All

  2. If only the humidity would go away we'd have it okay but it's been way up there like yesterday it started at 94% it never got below 44% as it drops as the sun burns it off...but as that burns off the tempts rise...95 with 44% humidity is like 105! Every summer seems to get hotter and hotter...I've been asking myself what will it be like in 10 yrs? Then the winters are colder here than ever before. I'm dreading winter as much as I dreaded summer anymore. Sorry bout the dishwasher. Machines are a pia much of the time!

  3. Hi George,

Yes the cooler temps are nice but it's still so hot.

    Hi Sondra,

I know ours isn't that high but this morning it's 77 degrees and the humidity is 74%. but once the sun comes out like you said it burns off some humidity. We had some heavy down powers last night and there are only small puddles that's how hot it has been that the street just dried right out. I look forward to winter more and more each year. But winter here is perfect and that's all I like about southern AZ.

  5. Hi Jim my Friend,

Yes we had some a couple weeks ago it was so nice. Last night was a crazy down pour and I thought for sure everything would be soaked, but nope just one little puddle in the street. I'm ready for winter how about you.

  6. Rain would be so wonderful just about now, they say we might have some Tuesday but I don't believe them. We were warned of storms last week and though we had lots of thunder we only had a two minute shower :-(

Every year it seems to get hotter, I have never liked winter but I now look forward to it.

  7. Hi MsBelinda,

It really rained hard last night and once again had to unplug laptop due to lightening and thunder. I hope you get some rain down your way soon.

Yes it does seem to get hotter every year and I love winter.

  8. I love winter way more than this heat! I'm envious of all out there who even have a couple of minutes of rain! We get nothing in Sacramento for most of the year. We'll all survive if we just spend most of our time indoors and don't do anything strenuous.

  9. I was thinking of you and another friend last night as I watched a movie about the hotshot fire fighters that lost their lives--darn it I remember hearing Prescott AZ and the place where they were caught--think it began with a "V". I swore I'd remember it. I think my brain is made of Swiss cheese.

I can't get to any more blogs tonight--I'm hurting too bad, but I keep hoping for heat relief for you, Jo.

  10. Hi Gypsy,

I'm looking forward to winter myself. I keep trying to figure out how to make it to the Mountains next summer but I haven't had any luck for the past 4 yrs now. Yes staying indoors it the best way to survive this heat.

    Hi Nancy,

That was a terrible fire it was up in Yarnel (sp) the fire just surrounded those poor firefighters.

Sorry you not doing well take it easy for a while
