Will It Happen

Depending on how big the hole is in my pocket for Truck maintenance I hope to do a bit of camping the week of 11/ 18 - ? I have been saving up for this for awhile. 

Hope to head to Madera Canyon's Bog Springs campground. They do not have hook ups. The sites are really nice and each site does have running water which you can drink. They have a camp host and the Rangers are always around. The restrooms are spotless but there is only one campsite next to the rest room but I do have my Porto potty. It is $5. with senior card and a 14 day limit. I love Bogs because of the mountains and many wonderful trees. Lots of birds and other wildlife in the area. You can ride further up the mountain to the lodges wildlife feeding center which is mostly birds, turkeys, and squirrels. I have had deer come right into my site while I sat there reading. I have also seen bear there a few times. 

If I can't get in there I will try the one nearest to where I live. I really don't want to go there but I want to get away. It is a higher rate so less nights spent out. Water is close by and there are several restrooms around each loop the trick is to find a site near one. There are birds to see and the occasional coyote. It is desert and so I really don't want to go there. 

There are lots of boon docking  lands to camp at but since I don't have much of a rig it gets harder for supplies such as more water. There are also some great camping places but they are so expensive and you have to make reservations and that also limits time spent because of the prices. They do not take the senior discount cards or any other discount cards.

So we shall see the outcome of the truck maintenance on Monday to see how it goes.

Going to go for a flu shot tomorrow and then check out my camping supplies. Also want to take some things to the donation center as they have been sitting in the camper for quite some time.
